You could put yourself on a budget of about $75. Euro's a day, which is about $100 a day US dollars. Then if you don't spend some days you have extra for other days. Think about transportation cost, costs of cleaning your clothes, costs for going to happy hours, costs for sightseeing and souveniers.
By the way, watch out for pickpockets and stay away from the Gypsies who hang out at such places as The Rambles looking for a handout. Don't wear a backpack and keep your money, and debit/credit cards inside your clothes.
We were just there for a weekend last Oct and the tour folks told us these things. |

When I visit my family in Europe, I usually spend between 150 - 200 Euro per week. It depends on how many gifts I want to bring back, and if we decide to go out for entertainment. I'm very frugal, so you might want to plan on the higher side. Especially if this is your first trip abroad. But remember, you may have to pay duty if you spend lots & lots of money. |

Just a tip. You can only take out max 300 € a day on debit cards. Take some out, than the next day as well, and keep in some where safe in case the machine eats your card. Notify your card dealer that you will be using it abroad or after the first three uses they can consider it stoled. You will nedd at least 10 € for coffee a day during week days, if you eat out 15 €per meal minimum. 50 € per afternoon outing, and 100 € per night outing. calculate around 1,000 € if you are slightly frugle but want to enjoy your stay. |
