How much should I pay for a studio or one bedroom furnished, clean apartment in Madrid, Spain?

I need something clean, bright, furnished, ideally in northwest part of city (Dehesa de la Villa, Francos Rodriguez, Cuatro Caminos, Moncloa, etc.) I could sign a 6-month or longer lease. How do I go about looking for this?

You should know that it is common practice to rent flats in Spain for one year minimum, but if you ask the landlord it may be possible to have a 6 month lease - it just depends. You may be offered a one month lease that you can extend on a monthly basis.

I think for a studio or 1 bedroom flat in the areas you have asked, you should look to pay around 500-600 euros per month. Madrid is an expensive city to live. You may get lucky because "estamos en crisis"
