How much spending money for a week in majorca? |
I'm looking to go on holiday to majorca for a week the end of june, and was just wondering how much spending money we would need for two of us for a week, for food, days out etc? Accomodation and flights are sorted, just need to know how much i need to take with me. Also, is there anywhere you would reccommend going? We are going to hire a car and would like to travel around the island and see lots of places, anywhere worth visiting? xx

we are a family of 5 and we usually take about £1200 for 2weeks, we have never spent up but this year the exchange rate is rubbish so we are taking about £1500. everything is cheap in majorca but try and find a supermarket for your shopping. Capabro is the spanish version of tesco so is a lot cheaper than resort shops.if you like the beach then alcudia is a must. its about an hour from palma but worth the drive. |

depends on your age group. I was there last year bed breakfast and evening meal, so we ate out at lunch time, burger & drink/coffee about 5euros, beer 3euros, we spent about £700 in a week for 2 older adults. we didnt travel around the island just stayed in Santa Ponsa. |

I would have thought £400-500 would be enough, but it all depends on whether you will be paying expensive clubbing entrance fee, bringing tabs back, if you will be clothes shopping, self catering etc.
But me personally, I would take £300 cash and an extra £200 travelers' cheque just to be well covered.

Allow £15 each a day for basic food,
£15 a day each for drinks (all types),
petrol for running around £10 a day would allow 100miles a day.
Extras like night clubbing allow £100 for the week
Total = £600 add 15% for the unforeseen and £700 should do it!!!!!!!!!
As for what to see, SEE EVERYTHING
only then will you know what you liked. |

It all depends on how much you want to spend!!Eating out can have different prices depending on where you eat...see that a normal menu (day time) can be from 15 Euros up per head.Then it also depends if you want to go into discos or just stay in pubs...or stay in the hotel...depends on your age you´ll fancy doing this things or not,and that can cost you quite a lot...
The best thing you can do is taking a credit card ,better than cash anyway...and you can always go to the bank if you need more.If you take cash take about 400-500 pounds each...should be more or less ok...8 days...50 pounds a day...up to you.Prices in Mallorca aren´t too different from Britain...so just count how much would you spend in your country in a week if you had to eat out and enjoy yourself. |
