I spent three months in Barcelona without problems. Keep an eye on your bag, don't wear your stars-and-stripes clothing, and be polite. At night, choose wider, well-lit streets over the darker, narrower ones (Barri Gotic). Avoid eating and drinking on Las Ramblas, where they rip-off tourists with EUR 13 sangrias!

Just as safe as for other tourists. Only joking. Barcelona is pretty safe, if you be careful. Keep your possessions and money hidden and you'll be fine. |

Safe, but beware of people wanting to over charge tourists. A common scam is to offer a lunch for a reasonable price, but then charge an obscene price for a drink, like $12 for a large coke. Be sure to ask the price first for everything.

Pretty safe, use common knowledge that would use anywhere. We were a large group so we never had any problems. Its a beautiful city, enjoy it. As with any country I would recommend if you dont know the language at least learn some essential words.

Barcelona is awesome.......make sure you visit the cathederals.......gaudi......picaso....s... much history there.. and the night life....you will see... hope you have a blast.. and I felt safe... somewhat safer there than a big city in us.. but it is a big city so dont let your guard down to far........
cheap flights......check out flights to england.......some times you can find specials......cheaper to get a hop from england to spain........also try expdia.....I was surprised some of the prices .........peace . |
