How to get from Girona airport to Barcelona? |
We will be arriving at 18.30 at the airport. Our hotel is actually on Avinguda Diagonal 1. If we get to the centre I imagine we can take a bus or taxi to the hotel? Additional Details Thanks. Does the coach go from the airport or Girona itself. |

When you come out of the arrivals hall turn right and the Barcelona Bus stops are in the bus terminal about 100m away.
The buses are timed to co incide with Ryanair flights and they drop you off at the Estación del Norte (station) next to the Arco de Triunfo
Costs 21 Euro return
You then can get the metro or a taxi to your hotel.
If you are in a group a private shuttle transfer might be a good idea |

There's a coach service that will bring you close to there, it costs about 10 Euro, which is much cheaper than getting a taxi because Girona is a good hour away by coach from Barcelona. The coach service from Girona is very regular, one leaves every 20 minutes or so.
Beware of pickpockets and other petty thievery in Barcelona, that's the only thing wrong with the city. As long as you are very careful of your cameras, and bags, and don't leave anything small like an i-pod in an easily accessible pocket (they only need a second to take it from you), you'll be fine. |

Either hire a car, and use a sat-nav. Or get the taxi, which will be expensive.
My way... would be to get the bus from Girona direct to Barcelona, then get a taxi from the bus station.
I take it you are flying Ryanair, they might be able to sell you the bus tickets on-board for a far cheaper price than at the ticket sales desk.
Have a nice flight and holiday! |
