I'm need some deas for where to go while I'm in Spain? Help?

I'm studying abroad in Granada and my boyfriend is meeting me there when my session is over. He's coming from July 1-7th. We're not huge fans of sightseeing buildings, museums, etc.. Should we go to Costa del Sol? Madrid? We definitely want to go to the beach and to see a bull fight. Please help, any suggestions would help.

From Granada, head to Ronda, about an hour or two away, then to the coast for some beach time, (not my favorite, the Costa del Sol is all built up, if you really want nice beaches, I prefer the other side of the straights, go to Huelva), then up north to Sevilla, you can spend a week there and not run out of stuff to do. You can do the most important stuff in two days. Sunday is bullfighting day, but also on festivals, you would have to check on that. It isn't expensive, and it is kinda cool from a historical standpoint. You can cut out after two bulls or so if you get bored. If you want to do Madrid last, try to talk him into spending more than a week, two to three is a minimum if you want to include Madrid, Segovia, Toledo, Avila, and maybe Salamanca. (any or all of those).

4th of July??? What would anyone be celebrating?

Although you don;t like buildings much you have to see tha Alhambra in Granada and the beautiful Generalife Gardens

There is no celebrations here in Spain on the 4Th July as the 4th July is Independence day in America

Oh my god i got back from Granada yesterday after a weekend there and it is 1 of the most beautiful places i have ever been, there is SO much to see i would recommend the cathedral, the Alhambra (book tickets before you go) the Carthusian Monastery, the sacromonte go on your own if your BF is not interested then when he comes over go to Marbella or Malaga for the nightlife and beaches.

Have a fantastic time Granada is beautiful also take a trip up to Sierra Navada the mountain is the largest ski resort in the south of Spain and the views are amazing.

If you need any more info mail me because i live in Spain and i have also been to Marbella and Malaga x

lol sorry but the 4th of july part threw me off too...but it's all good. go to madrid if you haven't been and i know you say you don't like museums, but the prado and botanical gardens there are definately worth it. then a road trip up the coast and stop along the way at whatever interests you, and stay in reasonably priced hostels or guest houses. the food and people are amazing off the beaten track. spain is all about discoveries. sometimes the most popular places are not always the most meaningful for you. have fun!
