Returned just 2 weeks ago, and how I wish I was going again.
You haven't said in what area you are staying, but everything is fairly close, and accessible by bus, train and taxi, all of which are very cheap. Things not to miss in the area are:- the Marina, Paloma Park, the Cable car to the mountain top(where you can see horse displays and birds of prey displays), Benalmadena Pueblo(the original village) up past Tivoli World, the Friday market in Arroyo and much more. There are so many restaurants in which to eat well, and every one has their favourites. Should you be in the Bonanza Square area, I would recommend Xai Lai Bo (the best of a number of Chinese), El Karmen, El Cordero, Eduardo's and my favourite Paraiso (but you must be hungry here, as it's 4 good courses with wine for £7.00). Many nice places to drink and for entertainment El Elefante, Bonanza Bar & Busby's all offer good nightly entertainment. Bunny's (drag) is also popular, and booking is advised. This is probably the cheapest part of the whole coast to eat and drink, and whether you are staying in a hotel, or an apartment block, there are usually plenty of little brochures for all the places to visit etc. There are four free newspapers (English) to help with what's on etc. If you can get hold of Town Crier, Holiday guide or Sur in English it will help. The free "blanket trips" are worth taking, and there is no pressure to buy at the demonstration. But they include good trips on them. I could go on and on but, to also help, have a look at this great website. Have a good holiday.

Oooh my Mum lives near there, I havent been, but I know there is a market, so that might be worth a look. Have a nice time, take a jumper, may be a little chilly in the evening :0)

I´ll be driving through there on Sunday on my way to Marbella for lunch with relatives. The weather has been great for the last three weeks. Quite warm by day but it will get chilly at night. It feels cold to me at night but I live here and it won´t feel that cold to you.....Enjoy.
