Don´t be too worried about it, you´ll find out there soon. There are many places to go to. You´ll see. It just depends on the kind of styles you like better. |

I am not going to recommend anywhere again. My fav bars and Rests are full of bloody tourists and the prices have gone up.
The tip is to explore the area to the left side of the Ramblas (going towards the sea).
The best guide book on BCN is 'Time Out' and I have no connection with them.
Unfortunately, it mentions most of mu favourite bars & rests.

Most visitors stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada FamĂlia Cathedral, and Parc GĂĽell in the north.

LAS RAMBLAS!! its so much fun to walk down and see all of the different shops, and the steet performers are awesome
the aquarium is also fun
if you are looking for fun, cheap night things the Travellers Bar is a very fun place to be. it is near las ramblas |
