I am moving to spain can Itake plants in tubs on our van?
hi,
yes , you can take most plants abroad, except certain places will not accept Japanese knot weed, giant hog weed or Russian vine.
this is because they are extremely evasive if grown out of pots.

Edit: These wouldn't be marijuana plants would they?

You may need special shipping certificates for them ,enquire at the nearet Embassy. What would you need to bring plants to Spain for?they have everything and more. Will the plants survive here?

I'm about to do the journey the other way. There is no inclusive answer on this one. You are prohibited from transporting 'certain plants and their products', but exactly which ones depend on your destination. For items entering the UK you have to ask DEFRA (08459 335577)- they may be able to help you. Or failing that, ask the Spanish embassy.
In the final analysis though, Spanish authorities are unlikely to confiscate your houseplants, so it may just be worth loading them up and saying nowt.
