Im learning Spanish now, and it picking up really well. Ive been reading kids books to begin with to get me started and going, and also other methods are listening to Spanish music, watching programmes in Spanish with English subtitles, im taking Spanish at college in September so this is a good way to get me into it!!
Something else that helps talking to Spanish people online.

You're already doing it! Avoid hanging out with other English speakers while you are there. It's actually possible to undermine yourself by hanging around with your classmates. At the same time, you can discuss details of what you are learning with them, too. Do your best to find natives to hang around with as much as you can.

I like to listen to Spanish music. A couple of artists/bands I'd recommend are Amaral, David Bisbal, Juanes, Reik, and Shakira even. Just read through the lyrics while the song's playing... that helps a ton. |
