So I tried fiesta mayor & Festa Major on google images.and youtube.seems to have some ideas.
My local town has a fiesta in august, but it is busy enough without tourists.
This seems to the the attitude of most Spanish pueblos.
There is a fiesta in Sitges with a great firework display in August. Barcelona has its festa major in August.

LA TOMATINA!!
It is in Buñol, about 30km west of Valencia. That's the festival where they throw around tomatos like hell. It's fun, but very red. |

Yes you have " Derrame Rock " it is in benicassim, castellon area. It´s is a musil festival.

You have two important celebrations:
- Madrid 15th of August is La Asunción or La VÃrgen de la Paloma. It's an important folclore celebration called la verbena de la Paloma with people dressed in local traditional costumes of "chulapos" and "chulapas" and other activities, such as the traditional "chotis" dancing. It all happens in the streets (in the old centre of the city). However, it is very hot at this date in Madrid!
- Elche (Alicante) 13th August is La nit de L'alba (Night of Fire). It's an amazing celebration of fire and fireworks!
