I am thinking of going to spain and would like to know what part isn't chavvy?

Not too many kids and has nice beaches but also a liverly nightlife and most importantly fairly cheap!

One of the best places to go would be Galicia.

I would suggest Benidorm, or surrounding towns such as La Nucia, Alfaz del Pi, Albir, Javea, Calpe etc..
People may say Benidorm is chavvy but I live here and it isn't at all. Ok fair enough you get a few chavs that come over from England in the summer on holiday, but doesn't everywhere? Some people also think Benidorm is a proper shithole but actually it is a nice place to go, with gorgeous beaches, a brilliant nightlife and it's also very cheap.

Go to the travel agents and get some brochures.....read them.....then arrange to go anywhere thats not in any of them.

lou needs help
im going to alcudia, and my nana has been there last year. she said its not fully of chavs and noisy people, but the holtel she stayed in was full of kids

hope i helped a little x

there are lots of lovely places to go in spain but don't expect cheap anymore at to-days rate one euro is equal to one Pound prices haven't gone up here but the pound has dropped in value by 50 percent

Of course it's all what you make of it, wherever you go, even the "chavvy" places (LOL I'm American and I love that word). Gotta say, I liked Cadiz. We stayed at the Parador Atlantico and is was peaceful and gorgeous, easy access to the old town where you can find trouble or just good times. Love it. Faces the Atlantic, so it's oceanside.
We also went to La Herredura and Nerja. Same impression there. A bit older crowd, but nice Med towns without trouble great views, and fun stuff to do.
Been to Torremolinos where you can find whatever kind of fun you want, serious beach tourist town, innocent or decadent, with lots of Spanish and Moorish stuff to see nearby.
Have fun. Do what you wanna do.

You would either have to go to the coastal areas for the nightlife, or the bigger cities (Madrid, Barcelona, etc.), but the Costa del Sol from Málaga down to Cádiz should give you plenty of options. Watch out for Marbella and Puerto Banus though, things can get pretty expensive there... Anywhere from Torremolinos, Benalmadena to Fuengirola would probably be closer to your liking and daytrips can be made to Málaga Capital, Granada, Ronda, Gibraltar and even across the Med into Morocco.

visit www.marbellaeye.com for holiday rentals in costa del sol, nearest airport is Malaga and the aprtment near Marbella.

You can have a look at pictures on the website as well.

peachy
a lot of people are judgemental saying that certain places of spain are 'chavvy' - for example u will probably have been told benidorm is chavvy, but i went there a couple of years ago and stayed in the levante area in a lovelly hotel, and really i cant say there were any chavs in my particular hotel, and the surrounding area was nice too, admittedly SOME parts of benidorm are chavvy, but as with a lot of other resorts u will find that they are full of chavs in some places and not chavvy in others - where ever u go it is likely u may encounter chavs at some point tho!
the least 'chavvy' would be the more traditional spanish cities/towns etc, rather than the more commercial resorts.

The north coast is the nicest bit, but even that has probably been ruined by chavs now

Not chavvy? Forget Marbella, Mallorca (parts of), Benidorm, the coast north of Barcelona but south of Tossa, La Manga, all of the Malaga coast.

Not Chavvy are the provinces of Asturias, Galicia, Santander,
Cadiz, and The Coast Brava north of Tossa,
