Marbella is around 45 minutes from malaga Airport by coach.
It is not the star studded town of yester year but if you take a short bus ride to Puerto Banus you may possable spot British TV soap stars who visit on a regular bases, and Puerto Banus has some of the fines million dollars yachts moor there. Marbella is more expensive then other costa del sol towns, but has beautiful beaches, shopping, night bars and clubs. Most of the real rich don't flaunt it but you´ll always see the "make believe ones".Well know clubs and restaurants can be megger expensive, but some night clubs allow ladies in for free!!You will enjoy your holiday in marbella ,but please keep on eye on your daily spending other wise you could fined your self spent out way before your holiday is over. Hope you have a great enjoyable time and a sun tan holiday to remember in Marbella.

No Marbella isn't like that really, that's just one end of Marbella, a place called Puerto Banus. What you pay very much depends on where you go.It isn't cheap like Benidorm, but probably cheaper in most places than here in th U.K. Make sure you go to visit a white town while you're there preferably Ronda , or Mijas from Marbella,

I have been to the Costa del Sole a few times and have found Marbella and its harbour Porta Banus the most expensive places on this coast due to it being a bit of a millionaires playground, mind you it is a beautiful town and a beautiful part of the coast
this is of course my own opinion

Marbella is very expensive only because rich people tend to hang out there,so cafe's etc know that they can put prices up.
Have a great time and good luck

Depends what you are used to really. Comparing it to Hollywood.. nope I didnt see any stars there. No dollys no trolleys a few grandmothers on scooters yes and tha was great! Eating, depends, it can cost the same as north America, but in Euros. There are a lot of tourist traps, so beware of that. I have been to Spain a month ago in Nerja. It is nice too, check it out. About eating out, in a sit down restaurant you pay about 4 to 8 Euros for appetizers and about 8 to 14 for an entree, say meat or fish/seafood. There are other places where you can get tapas, which are mostly seafood and fish filled, that is cheaper just ask before you eat because you can't really 'see' it in the tapa. A bottle of wine in a sit down place is about 7 Euros a fair price. Drinks, try Malaga Virgen, it's sweet and better than Porto I'd think, maybe 2 to 3 EUros depending where you go!
