It will depend on which cities you´re visiting. Anyway, "tapas" is something great, there´re cold or hot tapas and each place has specialties. The only cities in Andalucia where tapas are given free with your drink are Granada and some places in Jaén. You ask for beer or a soft drink and you´ll get your "tapa". In some bars you can even choose from a long list of free snacks.Usually, those bars which have the most people inside are the ones that serve better tapas or have a large variety!!!
In other cities in Andalucia there are those "tapas" too, but you have to pay for them.

Depends where you're going. Andalucia is pretty big! If you want a change from the spanish food and fancy a good old english carvery, the best carvery in the world is at Torremolinos, on the border with Benalmadena. It's called The Carvery, and is just round the corner from Hotel Sol Puerta. It's amazing!

Sevilla Restaurant in Granada was good when I went there about 8 years ago...(the name is a little strange for a restaurant in Granada)

Also Taberna San Miguel in Cordoba.

I guess some of the snacks may suit you best .

I live in Andalusia in a town called Alhaurin el Grande, which is approx 20mins from Malaga Airport and 20mins inland from Marbella. If you are travelling by car then I would suggest any venta at the side of the road, A typical 3 course meal with a glass of bear or wine will cost around 6-7€ for the menu del dia. These ventas do get very busy betwen 2-4pm when the workers take their lunch but they add to the atmosphere. If you are travelling to the province of Malaga and need any more info you can email me at anninspain@yahoo.co.uk
