I want to learn Spanish in Spain. How can I get a job there?

In a Spanish area and not behind a bar.

If you want to learn Spanish in Spain, or any other country, more power to you.

If you need to work, there is another story. Getting a work visa in Spain is very difficult. Work is even harder. They are in a recession right now.

Here is a list of places that can help. If you get on with an agency, and they get you a job (assuming they are reputable) they have a reputation to uphold. If they put you into a job, they will already have you a visa. It may be, for the time being, the best way to do it.

I can't vouch for any but CIEE, personally, you'll need to do the research yourself to find out whether the organizations are reputable. Don't just sign up with anyone on the internet...make some inquiries, but if you are from the US, you should look into them.

Good luck!

I live in Spain, so if you want i can teach you some Spanish, just add me to your contacts. To get a job in Spain it is the same as in England. Or if you wan more info. then add me to your contacts.

Hope i helped. xD Adios

If you are not an EU citizen, getting a job in Spain isn't very easy at this time. Furthermore, if you don't know previous knowledge of the language, that makes it more difficult. If you really want to learn the language, there are great programs offered in Latin America and Mexico. Since Central America is currently in a major warfare, I'd advise against going there. Visit the following websites for more options: www.workabroad.com, www.goabroad.com, www.internship.com.

it's not easy to get a job in Spain if you don't speak the language.
Also at the present time Spain like Britain and Germany is going into a recession.

If you don't speak Spanish your chance of a job is limited. Many people decide to teach English.

Go somewhere else, we have no more room for people who want to come here sorry. There are loads of us already living in Spain, that speak fluent Spanish that are struggling to find work, even the Spaniards themselves can't!
If you have a trade however, speak fluent Spanish and are willing to uproot yourself then I suggest trying somewhere else that may need your services.
Spain has just declared it has closed it's doors to "foreign non EU people" who want to reside here. EU people are also finding it increasingly difficult. Sorry to disappoint you, but it's a fact here now, just like in the UK.
