Nowhere in Spain will be particularly warm over Christmas, unless you go to the Canary Islands. If you want a white Christmas go somewhere in the north or near the Pyrenees. I was in Salamanca last year just before Christmas and it was beautiful. Segovia looks like a town from a fairytale and I think it would be a brilliant place to spend Christmas. If you want somewhere slightly warmer, I would suggest going further south... Valencia is great, but if you want somewhere smaller, Gandia or Denia would be good places to start.
Seville would be warmer than a lot of other places, but December is also the rainiest month there. Andalucia is very wet around Nov-Dec. You need to decide if you would prefer cold and dry, or cold and wet as these are the options in Spain in December. |

Well it depends if you want to be with a lot of English people & if you do go to Benidorm. "I live in Valencia" Cullera is a nice place to go for a holiday. Where i live "Valencia" is also a nice place to come & visit xD.
Hope i helped & have a great holiday xO. |

SEVILLE! Much warmer than Madrid and normally warmer than Barcelona as well. It's gorgeous! I've been six times now,and looking forward to my next visit. It's very friendly, has superb architecture, including the world's 3rd largest Cathedral, a fine river with spectacular bridges ranging from very old to super-modern,gorgeous theatres, concert halls, ancient City walls,.beautiful parks,a recently-opened Metro(above ground),Flamenco, children's playparks, loads of accomodation of all sorts from posh hotels to cheap B&B's,...it's got the lot! You can't go wrong with Seville. A great place for children and adults. It's beautiful! Go back two weeks after Easter for the Seville Spring Fair,( Feria de Sevilla) the biggest fair in Europe. Awesome! You'll need to book a place now though. It gets hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world. Fabulous for children and adults alike. You'd never believe it until you see it. It's a huge event. The city just about closes down for the afternoons through Feria week.. Events all over town, too. Music,dance,parties....fun everywhere. Google 'Seville' under 'images' and you'll see how beautiful it is. Totally, totally recommended. |

SOC JO! A capite ad calcem

Well, both cities are very nice. But I“m from Barcelona,so I have to recommend it to you.The Ramblas and the center is always full of life, and during Xmas all the shops are open, exept for the 25th and 26th December and the 1st January.
There are many restaurants which are open during the Christmas including the 25th and 26th of December. Barcelona is a popular tourist destination and the restaurant industry is accustomed with dealing with tourists during holiday periods. In short, there will be restaurants open for you to dine in and you will not starve! However it is recommended to reserve your table in advance - and be prepared for higher prices!
On Christmas Day all of the museums and official tourist sites will be closed to the public. However on Boxing Day many of the main attractions will be open from 10 a.m. till 2:30 p.m. these include the Sagrada Familia, and Park Guell.
For the opening hours for the other main sites I recommend that you visit their respective official web sites for each site that you are interested in seeing. You will find accurate information regarding each sight's opening hours at their web sites. As you can appreciate, this would be a time-consuming task for me to keep up-to-date and it is best to check at source for this information
The metro system will be operating however it will have different operating hours during the Christmas period.
Now, if you're looking for a white Christmas in Barcelona the chances of that happening are pretty slim. Yes, once in February 2004, there was a light fluttering of snowflakes for approximately half an hour. But this was the first time in 10 years that Barcelona city centre had experienced snow and we have not experienced snow since. However even on that rare occasion the snow melted on impact and did not settle, much to the disappointment of the people of Barcelona.
Here“s some good offers to travel to Bcn http://www.travelrepublic.co.uk/ShortBreaks/Spain/Barcelona_City_Centre.html?ProvId=54820&mkid=15931839&aid=2
If you decide Barcelona at the end,you won“t regret it.
I can“t give you much info about Madrid,as I“ve just been there once, but it“s also a very nice city to visit, also full of life.
