If you Speak English and Spanish ýou can get a job any place in Spain even in Barcelona. Barcelona has companies around the world and English is always useful, it´s the official spoken language. Don´t worry too much about Catalan it´s the second language spoken in Barcelona, but everybody speaks Spanish and not everybody speaks catalan.
If you live in the Capital of Barcelona you´ll find accomodation from 700€ to ......, of course it always depends on the neiborhood. You can even share an apartment, you know that´s something everybody does around the world and it´s always cheaper and a nice way to get some friends, and if they don´t like you... you can always change!!

you have a EU passport so you should be able to find work depending on your career field. the tourist industry thrives there. they speak catalon which is a form of spanish/french. you will be fine as many business people speak english too. french is also spoken. barcelona is less expensive than london but it's not cheap. one bedrooms on outskirts are around 700--900 and in town 1000--1200. suerte! |

accomadation is expensive but loads cheaper than the UK. Having a British passport is an added bonus owing to EU membership. Bar work is possibly a realistic temp job but you would need to learn Catalan. |

Barcelona is very expensive and they will ask you to speak Catalan. Finding an apartment is expensive so you will have to live far away from the City., |
