Me and my partner are thinking of going to stop in Ibiza in Summer 2009. When looking for an apartment in San Antonio the reviews on most of them were awful. We have decided that staying in San Antonio Bay looks more appealing (review wise).
What i would like to know is, does San Antonio Bay have plenty of things to do pub and food wise? and also i have seen an apartment complex i would like to stop in call Marvell Apart hotel. I would like to know if this is within walking distance of San Antonio.
So to summarise is the apartment in a good location and is The Bay a good place to stop and near enough the action of San An.
San Antonio Bay is a lot quieter then the Town. Fair enough you could just walk or travel by bus/boat to the Town, which isn't that far. Even through the day its quiet.
I have been to San Antonio Town three times and stayed at the Club Paraiso. It was a young hotel with SOME noise, but the security were excellent. They refused any 'visitors', and clamped down on any noise and over-the-top larking about.
Have you had a look at the resort of Es Cana? I recently went there and loved it. I stayed in the Caribe Hotel and it was great. From this resort you can travel the rest of Ibiza quite easily.
Whatever you do, enjoy........

Have you tried trip advisor? This site has a dedicated forum for Ibiza with many members that live there who can answer honestly & give an unbiased view.
Like the other two I agree that the Bay is quieter. I would prefer the Bay (I'm in my 30's) During the height of the season San Antonio is full of teenagers in party mode, they're after a holiday with clubs & drinking.
The Bay is more of a family friendly place, although I imagine it'll be busy but not on the scale of San Antonio.

I stayed in the Bay about 15 years ago so it might have changed a little but then it was certainly quieter and had plenty of places to eat but pubwise bit dull. It's a short bus ride to the action or you can get a little boat across the bay. It's nice coming back on the boat at night.Might be more pubs now.
