I agree Madrid and Barcelona are like 2 capitals and have the most fantastic museums if that's what you like on short trips. If you are a cultural fanatic ( like to see cultural , historical influences) then I would agree with the person who said Seville / Granada. I lived in Granada for a year and it's beautiful. In your case I would hit Seville and visit Triana ( city centre suburb where people sing and dance all day) If you chose Seville make sure you take a good camera. |

Seville is a really nice city with a lot to do. The weather down there is nice all year and the best time to go would be during march/may. In the summer it get's too hot.
If you were down in Seville you can visit the coast which is about an hours drive and Granada.
Granada is near the Sierra Nevada and has the most amazing palaces. |

Without a doubt it has to be the university city of Salamanca. There is an abundance of history and culture on offer. Combine that with beautiful scenery and warm & friendly people. Could you ask for more! |
