Do you mean a green CARD in the US? It depends on your nationality...Where is your passport from? THAT is what your need for a visa depends on. Getting back into the US, I think you need the green card. Check with YOUR consulate, the Spanish Consulate, and the INS, before you leave the country. JUST to be sure. |

It depends totally on your nationality. You can use the site below to see if you need a visa. Enter your nationality, enter that you are an alien resident of the U.S.A., enter your destination, and click for the information. It will tell you if you need a visa or not. You will also need a passport from your home country. |

After you get your green card you are allowed to travel, work, study etc
If you are only going for a week its perfectly fine but youll need your passport (no matter your citizenship), if you are planning on being out of the states for more than one year you would have to notify the people who issued your green card about the details of your trip and the reasons why you would be staying out of the USA so long.
Its all in the papers you got with your green card...also you can check it out in the web site, just google it. |

Check with the consulateof one of the EU-countries close to you: Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium. For the so called Schengen area in the European Union you can ask either of those. The rules are the same for those countries. |
