You are def. a U.S. Citizen because your parents are U.S. Citizens. You may have a dual citizenship with Spain. you would need to check their laws on citizenship.

You are entitled to dual nationality. My grand daughter was born in Spain of Spanish/British parents, she has dual nationality.

You are a Spanish Citizen along with a U.S. Citizen... You need to check out the Local Spanish Consulate in your area or Embassy in Washington D.C .. If you are int rested in coming to live here in Europe its always a better idea to be a European Citizen ( I mean it will be easier for you to get a job, etc ) .. So check that out..

Take care and Happy Holidays..

Since your parents were born in the US, they are US citizens. You are a US citizen since you were born to citizen parents. Your parents should have registered your birth with the nearest US Embassy while outside the country.

If Spanish laws for citzenship are the same as USA, you may be a Spanish citizen as well, depending on the laws in that country. USA recognizes Dual Citizenship.

First of all, you are definitely an American citizen. (unless you've renounced your citizenship or it was taken away because you committed an act of treason... which I doubt)

I have dual citizenship between Spain and the US. My father is Spanish and my mother American, and I was born in the US. Your case, though, is likely similar as long as the proper paperwork was done when you were born here in Spain.
Depending upon your age, you may already have dual citizenship. I had it until I turned 18. Then, because I was living in the US and had never taken out any Spanish papers (passport or DNI-national identity card), I lost my Spanish citizenship.
When I came back to live here (in Spain), I had to do some paperwork to recuperate my citizenship. It was a bit of a hassle, and required getting legal residency here for the time the paperwork was being fixed, but I did get it done. This was done at the registro civil in Spain. I imagine that you could probably do it all in the US at a Spanish embassy.
In the end I had to "renounce" my American citizenship, but only within Spain itself. I talked with the US embassy to make sure that this wasn't a problem for my US citizenship, and was assured that it wasn't. This is done to prevent conflicts of interest between the countries. So, while here I am really only Spanish, technically, but once I leave the borders of Spain, I am once again a dual citizen.
If you haven't turned 18 yet, I suggest you talk to someone in the Spanish embassy to see if it is possible and then do the paperwork to get either a passport or DNI from a Spanish embassy in the US before your 18th b-day if you want to maintain your Spanish citizenship/dual citizenship status.
Things have changed a bit since I did all of that (in 1998-9). Since then, Spanish citizens that become American citizens no longer have to renounce their Spanish citizenship, so I'm guessing it would be easier both ways for those who want dual citizenship.
If you are male, in the past you would have had to do an obligatory military service (la mili) if you wanted to be Spanish, but I think that has also changed since I got my citizenship. (Luckily, I'm female, so that didn't affect me).
I hope that helps. I would talk to someone in a Spanish embassy, if you're really interested, and they should be able to help you.

you may possibly have dual citizenship. some countries allow this. you would have to check with the spanish government on your current status. though currently you're a us citizen.
