If you are disabled do you get priority boarding or anything on the Plymouth to santander ferry?

We have booked our trip online and Have printed out the documents that I need to take to board the ferry with the car,
It has a disabled picture in the corner,
(it asked at one point wether anyone is disabled) and I put yes, as my other half is (temporarily) (he has a broken hip)
and i just wondered whether it makes a diffrence when boarding or whilst on board?...maybe we go on sooner becuase of getting him up on to the boat and finding the cabin?

Im not sure if it means anything at all....

Of course they do but must be stated when booking.

I have used this ferry many times. Basically it can be quite awkward to weave through all the parked vehicles to get to the stairs or lift up to the cabin decks. With a disabled sticker you dont get on sooner or later but you will be loaded at a particular time to get you parked close to one of the exit doors which should make it easier for you. You might also get asked to put your hazard flashing lights on as you load so they can identify you. My suggestion is dont even try and hike up the stairs to the cabin deck if you have any impairment. They are narrow and steep so wait for the lift. You will find your cabin number printed also on your ticket but finding the cabin can be a bit of a nighmare unless you have gone for one of the posh ones. If in doubt ask one of Brittany Ferries staff. We did the crossing both ways in August and had wonderful sightings of dolphins and fin whales across the bay of Biscay. Better chance of sightings going North as the ferry goes down Biscay during the night.

Edit to the poster below - pretty obvious from the question that she did book yes for disabled and whats with a thumbs down for a full and accurate answer?
