Sevilla: it has the most to offer in terms of the Alcazar, the path by the river, amazing Jewish section (narrow cobblestone streets with cute stores), great tapas restaurants, the amazing Plaza Espanya from an old World's Fair, tons of nightclubs/interesting bars...and everything is pretty much within walking distance. Barcelona & Madrid just felt too much like big cities the world over--Barcelona has an interesting Gothic area and the Gaudi buildings/park are worth a visit, but Sevilla has more soul. My second choice would be Sitges, just down the coast from Barcelona--very cute town that circles the beach & has lots of great restaurants/shopping/interesting architecture. (I've asked a lot of Spaniards what city they like best & I usually hear either Sevilla or Granada) |

Barcelona, after reading the below introduction.
http://www.ourexplorer.com/tour-guide-marta-laurent-veciana-1501.aspx
" can show you the best spots in Barcelona in a standard panoramic tour, take you on a Gaudi tour to discover the secrets of his works, guide you around the backstreets of the Old Town, skip you past the line of our best Museums, or create the customized itinerary that matches your interests best.
My guided tours can also be really creative: Gourmet tours, garden tours, old store tours, legends tours, any theme tour you can imagine! Just tell me what's your interests, and I'll create your own customized itinerary!
Or we can discover our region together, Catalonia: an excursion to the Mountain and Monastery of Montserrat, a day trip to Girona and its Jewish heritage, a visit to the Dali Museums. Or would you rather spend a day in our seaside? Any charming village of the Costa Brava will be a good choice! O let's visit instead one of the many cellars in our Wine Country. There's lots to see in Catalonia!" |

I would say Barcelona. I've always been impressed by the artwork of GaudÃ. The "Sagrada Familia" cathedral is apparently an impressive building, and all of those buildings designed by him (I've seen them in postcards) just look amazing. Besides, I've heard the Rambla is very nice... So, if I were you, I'd definitely go to Barcelona. |

If you have limited time and want to visit SPAIN!....then go to Madrid. It's the capital city and it is truely Spanish, don't even consider Barcelona its in Catalonia, and they dont want to be in Spain so you dont get a Spanish feel. |

Valencia without a doubt. It is the most up and coming city in Spain and still retains the true Spanish city atmosphere.
It has not been ruined by tourism yet so is one of the cheapest places to stay, eat and drink. Also if you have little time you can fly in and be in the center in a few minutes by taxi.
Best part of the city is the old town perfect for cafe hopping and watching the world go by.
It is also a great place to start out if you want to explore the Costa Blanca.
Take a peek at the official tourist guide. |

Barcelona. It's so unique and beautiful. It's not a typical city. I would love to go back.
To be honest, I didn't care for Madrid. |

Ciudad Rodrigo. It is a very old walled city with lots of history. It has an ambience all of it's own. |

I wouldn't waste my time...I'd wait until I could spend at least 10 days!
I still haven't been to Greece for that very reason!
Seville, because it's the most "Spanish" city in Spain. |

I would probably visit Granada. It's small, has a Spanish feel to it and the Alhambra is there which is a spectacular palace to visit.
It is the home of gigantic tapas, where in most places you get a meal when you order a drink. This saves a lot of money on food as when you feel hungry you can stop for a drink and big tapas for no more than 2 euros.
I also like the Arabic part of town where they have a street market and lots of cafes open at night where you can drink mint tea and smoke shisha/water pipe/hubbly bubbly whatever you know it as. |
