Im going to Spain...?

In July my family and I are going to Spain. We are going to Alnunecar and Benaluadena Pueblo (excuse the spelling) and other other places close to the Mediterranean. I was wondering what some costums are, what clothes are worn, what kind of Spanish is spoken, and other details and information that may be important or interesting there. Thanks!
Additional Details
Also, what are some things that you suggest I should bring?

Hi, I have just been at Benalmádena Pueblo and it is absolutely beautiful! Very small but very pretty. Don't miss the Buddhist Stupa just outside the town, it is really nice and meaningful.
I figure it will be very very hot. Lots of sunscreen, bottled water an a hat are a must. Take a rest in the shade whenever you feel too hot or tired.
If you visit Benalmádena, you will be close to Málaga. Downtown Málaga is worth a visit and there is a very convenient tour bus with plenty of stops around town (15 euros for 24 hours).
Food is amazing! Just take care if you are allergic to fish and other sea products.
I am from Mexico, so there is not much I can tell you about Spanish because I speak it, but in Spain they speak a strong and fast Spanish, but people is very kind if you ask them to speak slower.
Enjoy!

Lucky you! You're going to have a wonderful holiday.
The Spanish is classical Spanish - different from Mexican Spanish in that it has one extra case (Vosotros). However, if you are fluent in Mexican Spanish you will be understood in Spain (but they will think you have an accent).
The clothing is lightweight summer clothing. There are regional costumes, but they vary from district to district.
Just a precaution, however. Don't go wandering off on your own. We climbed the hill to a deserted castle (or the remains of a deserted castle) and were jumped by two guys with knives. They got our backpacks, our cameras, our valuables, but we got away with our lives so we considered ourselves lucky. but we don't stray off the beaten paths any more. Too bad.

How to dress? Just like you would dress if you went to some hot place in the States, like Florida. About being dangerous and not wandering on your own, just use a bit of common sense. If you're a tourist and look like one, don't call temptation for criminals and just try to avoid risky situations, but Spain in no South America. You'll be going to West Europe, and although Málaga is not one of the weathiest parts in Spain, is no Mexico. The Spanish spoken is the one spoken in the south of Spain, not as bad as the south american one but not good Spanish either. They do speak quite fast, but if you're in a tourist area, they will probably speak English.

Depends on where you go in Spain.
In Catalonia and Valencia it is Catalan that is spoken, but their own versions in each district. In Basque regions it is Basque, and in other parts it's Castilian. It depends on where you go.

Be sure to visit Portugal:)
