Do a search under Barcelona...you'll find everything you need to know.

Or get the DK Eyewitness book. It will make you want to see everything in it. Great information, great photos.

Go to the Miro museum. Walk down the Ramblas. Watch your pockets and bags!

take them on a trip around the city- the Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou if there are any football fans, Montjuic, the Picasso Museum or Park Guell.
you could also take any of the three tourist buses. they take you around the city, and you only pay once, even though you can get on and off the bus as many times as you want. since each bus takes you around different historical or cultural places, you will have a choice of places to visit and you won't have to worry about organising any activities.

Hehehe.. If you hide a copy of The Lonely Planet's Barcelona guidebook under your arm you'll do well and keep your family educated and entertained. Great book. And it'll have many more things than we can describe here and you can study it on the plane ride over.

Some of the things you'll find in the book would include going to the Parc Güell, taking the Barcelona Bus Turístic, go to the Sagrada Familia, walk through the Gothic Quarter and El Raval, down Las Ramblas, a stroll through the Barceloneta, Parc de la Ciutadella, and Eixample, and of course the Gracia neighborhood. Very nice.
