Playa del Ingles you will either love it or hate it.
There different centres to go to with bars and eateries.
Yumbo is very gay friendly but its a safe place to go to in the evening as even you see lots of families in there.
Kasbah is for the younger crowd - but be careful as sometimes you can be ripped off in regards to drink prices. Also be careful - well known for drugs
There is a good walk you could do from Playa del Ingles to Maspalomas along the beach its quite along walk but there are stations along the beach where you can buy drinks
Have a day out at the capital Las Palmas. Dont do the organized trip go on the local bus a helll of a lot cheaper.
There is Aqualand as well. But one warning is that on your visit the £ against the euro is so low at the moment you will not have so much money to spend over there.
Have a good trip.

omg i went there a few years back..... never again, its wasnt my cup of tea at all, its just all concrete, the beaches arnt all that and the spaniards i found were pervy and it was full or drunks and people throwing up, the only good thing i can say about it was the maspolomas sand dunes, you can have a camel ride over them
sorry for the downer, but what i said dosent matter as it just me...
theres loads of nightclubs and fun bars....
google it, you will get loads of info and reviews and also youtube have a good selection of vids on there about it |

There are a lot of centres in playa del ingles. Irish centre is quite good. Yumbo centre is great (dont need to be gay to go there0. My hubby and I go 3 times a year. |

if anywhere id suggest the gumbo centre-i have to say ive travelled many places on holiday and playa de inglis was by far the worst-it was dirty-second class beaches and a lot of erm pervish men-would never go again |

maspalomas has a good nudist beach, don't get stuck in the rain under a tent, because it was raining heavily when we went in January.2005, but as they say it never rains on their parade.we had a good holiday there , some good bars, hope the weather is better for you.xx.ps. good chinese in centre, |

I suggest you visit Gran Canarie they have trips where you can swim with the whales, go to Mount Tiede where at the very top of this snow peaked mountain is the oldest living dragon tree its over 4,000 year old. |

I went there last year with some friends and I loved it, if your young you will love the nightlife, its brill, theres loads of thing to do Yumbo Centre or the clubbing bit, foods lovely and the people are very friendly!
You will LOVE it! Go to Aqualand its well worth a visit! |

If that's in Tenerife my son got back from there today and says its nice but VERY expensive (ie a rip off) and he went all inclusive. |
