yes you could take a mosquito spray, candles or plug-in for night times if you are prone to bites.
cover up in the evenings, esp if it's warm xxx |

DEFINITELY take mosquito repellent, if you can find one that has 'deet' in it then get that(the higher % of deet the better),the worst time is sort of early evening when your eating dinner or enjoying an evening outside thats when mosquitoes are worst..also if you sleep with your window/balcony doors open make sure you're protected with repellent.
I'd also suggest taking antihistamine cream just in case you do get bitten it will sooth the bite and take away any infection and it will dissapear in a day or so
hope this helps :) |

Bug repelants are really all you need.
It's really warm at night in Spain so its
not worth covering up all of the time.
If you happen to be going to northern Spain [PAMPLONA]
then a lot of repelent is not really a neccessity.
The last time i went to pamplona, i passed by the
whole summer without bug repelent and absolutely
0 bites:) |

I've lived here 17 years, and it seems that in all that time I have become immune to mozzies. However, when I travelled to Nepal I bought Boots extra strength insect repellant and it worked great!! It's not expensive and better than those plug in things. Mozzies are usually out in the evenings and whilst you're sitting outside they tend to go for your ankles mainly (who knows why, maybe keeping a low profile for fear of being squashed, lol)
Don't sleep with your windows open, either or you'll be up in the night with them buzzing round your head. Good luck |

Buy the plug in type of repellent, DO NOT BUY THE CANDLES!! some folks can be allergic to the vapour given off by them they can send you like you are very drunk and give nightmares, keep them well away from
children more especially babies!!
You can buy things here which are more effective than those bought with you from the UK.
This year so far there doesn't seem to be many mossies about, but I am so used to them they don't bother me, you get used to the bugs here after many years...... |

At this time of the year, I'd say it's a must to take a roll-on insect repellant (or a spray) and also take a plug-in insect vaporiser-type gadget - the pesky things always seem to find me during the night ! Enjoy yourslef anyway ! Good Luck !! |

Hi, when you get to Spain go to one of the supermarkets ( Hipercor, Mercadona, Carrefour) and buy some of the patch repellents. You just stick them on like any other patch and scratch them and they keep the bugs away. You're better off buying them here as they will be cheaper due tot the fact it's a common product here. These are good for both adults and kids and you don't have to worry about sprays or plug ins and no offence smells or allergies
Hope it helps you |

Just a mosquito spray, just like in Britain anyway...I don´t think Spanish mosquitoes are worse than British ones. |
