It is definately like the US, but a little behind on the fashion. I live in Andalucia, and before I lived in the US. Jeans are great. They don't really get noticed that much, just casual wear, like street, or to school (if you are a student), and also colorful pants are also in style, bell bottom. Destroyed jeans? Only if not "too much" ... I mean, if there is 20% left of material, that just says, "Mental." And it doesn't look that good, a couple of cuts on the knees and ripped at the bottom, that's perfect, talking destroyed. Spaniards, no, shorts are rarely worn, and that is by tourists. They wear Calf-Cut pants, or low jeans/pants. And these days, it's either skinny-jeans or jeans that cover your shoes completely. For shoes, they love high-heels, or sandals, the ballet-sandal type, with the lowlow heel and the rounded front and the bow, do you know them? For high heels, they love anything that shows their feet, so if high-heels, with the toe part cut out, that type, and if sandals, flip flops are good. They also like dressing out, even at day, even for casual stuff, not like going grocery shopping, but like taking walks and stuff. I hope this helps! ;) And I hope you like Spain!
