The best restaurant in the city is called La Isla (at least they told me it's the best...I didn't want to pay that much). It's on Calle Arfe, behind the post office.
La CarbonerĂa, in Barrio Santa Cruz, has music and flamenco...not a tablao, but just dancers, no costumes or show, and the last time I was there (okay, that WAS a while ago) they had tapas, but I don't know if they had any full sized plates.
Any of the Tablaos, Patio Sevillano, Los Gallos, there's a new one in Triana, but we couldn't be sure they would be open, and didn't go, but I think they serve food, and then there's the big show.
Or you could just step into any bar where they are serving tapas...lots of life. You can't escape THAT in Sevilla, though not live music. Actually, for the most part, a dining place with live music, isn't really typically Spanish.
Or you could go to the North end of the Centro, near the Palacio de las Dueñas, and find El Rinconcillo. It doesn't look like all that much from outside, but it's the oldest eatery in Seville, maybe the world, founded in 1670, and has belonged to the same (very nice) family for all these centuries...tons of character! And then go around the corner to Los Reyes for ice cream. (best in the city)
If you want the best pastries in the city, go to La Campana on the north end of C/Sierpes. I guarantee you'll enjoy! (skip the ice cream...it's Ben and Jerry's). Have a cup of Café con leche for me, kay?
And for churros, go back to Arfe, and right near that restaurant, in the mornings, is a little churrerĂa. Saluda a Angela for me.
