Im traveling to ( Barcelona)?

I am traveling to Barcelona in Spain in two weeks and want to travel somewhere for a day/two. I was thinking Nice or Portigual. What's the quickest way to get to these places. Does anyone have any suggestions for places to travel within Spain other then Barcelona? Iv heard southern Spain is beautiful/

Also suggest to fly: Granada, to spend a couple of days, and see the Alhambra, and wander about town.

or Sevilla, see the Cathedral, Giralda, and Alcázar, then wander up the river, shop in Triana, or Barrio Santa Cruz or along c/Sierpes.

If you decide to stay IN Spain.

Absolutely have to fly to Portugal, but you could take the train to western France, Perpignan, or thereabouts, or stay in Cataluña and go to Girona, or Figueres, or Cadaqués.

So many choices!!! So little time :(

Have a good trip!

The quickest way to get to Nice, France and Portugal (Lisbon, for example) is by airplane. You can fly VUELING (web: http://www.vueling.com ) to both these destinations for roughly 55-65 Euros round-trip and the flights are fast. You're likely to spend more time traveling to the airport and waiting for your flight than you'll spend in the air.

Just so you know, everything in Spain from Barcelona is FAR. Barcelona is in the uppermost northeast corner of the country. But if you're patient and have time to spend you could consider visiting Madrid, parts of Galicia (very nice and green), Andalucia is nice, and all the Mediterranean coast is quite nice. Salamanca is far but a nice city to visit.

Not sure when you're going but Andalucia will be HOT HOT HOT in the summer. Madrid will be hot too but slightly less. Galicia and the nothern coast of Spain will be more mild.

Have a great time in the country of Spain - and enjoy Barcelona too.
