I reckon you could be with your friend in about 4 hours, at a push. You will need to be at Palma airport at least 1 hour before your flight to Malaga, which takes 2hrs 5mins with Iberia airlines. If you've no luggage to wait for, hurry out of Malaga airport and catch the train to Fuengirola. It runs every half hour, and takes around 30 mins.
In other words it's about as near as the Orkney Islands are to Skegness!! |

I hope not or I need a new map...........Fuengirola is in Andalucia, on the Costa del Sol, in Southern Spain.
Majorca is one of the Islands in the MED..............Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza..................
You can fly from Malaga to any of the islands............even take a boat from Barcelona and other resorts further up on the coast of Spain..........but I should check for yourself on a map!! |

No, you would have to fly from Fuengirola (Malaga airport ) to Majorca. It is an island in the Mediterranean sea. |

Miles and miles apart. |

Not really, but if you try Ryanair and easyjet, and those cheapo airlines, it won't take long to get there.
How long are you planning on going to Mallorca for? If it's only for a week or so, then you probably won't want to do that.
Go to sispain and find a map. It takes an overnight ferry from Barcelona to the Baleares, just to give you an idea of how far they are from the mainland, and the train from Fuengirola to Barcelona probably takes around 8 hours. Can't use my experience...I wound up on one that took about 20! (kept breaking down!) |
