No. That's why, when you look at a map, you see a national border around the area called "Gibraltar".
Wait., I misread that. SPAIN, part of GIBRALTAR? Spain is a country, with its own government, and a prime minister, president, congresss, and a king. Gibraltar is a tiny little territory that belongs to England. How could Spain be part of Gibraltar, which doesn't even have its own government or independence? |

Gibraltar Was part of Spain, but British went once and settled so now it“s became theirs.
It“s more or less like.... You move to my house and stay there for years and I don“t say anything because; I like your company, or the housework, or the garden, or.... so It“ll become yours as well and I can“t throw you out. But don“t forget I could try to move yours as well, but I think I“m not ready for that much work, so relax!! lol |

Gibraltar is a small British dependancy close to La Linea in Spain. For quite sometime the Spanish have wanted Gibraltar returned to Spanish rule. I see no reason why that shouldn't be but my views are in the minority. Gibraltar does rule it's own affairs and does have it's own governing body. The electorate in Gibraltar want to remain British. If we are to be democratic then the rights of the population should be upheld. Spain has two protectorates just the same way Britain has Gibraltar. They are Ceuta and Melilla off the coast of morocco. |
