It's absolutely fantastic, especially when you're only 16.
I worked in Benidorm for 2 summers and had the time of my life. I've also been there on holiday 10+ times in 20 years and would drop everything and move there permanently if I won the lottery.
Lots of fun pubs, karaoke bars, cabaret, shops, restaurants, lovely beach, watersports etc etc..... you'll have a great time.
