Can you tell us the name of the village you'll be at? I mean, the province of Maresme is quite extensive (40-50 Km).
The furthest point in the Maresme area from Barcelona is a town called Malgrat and it's 60 Km away from Barcelona. The nearest point is Montgat and it's 13 Km way from the city. You can take a train (Cercanias Renfe) every 30 min from any of the villages spread along the Maresme area to Barcelona.
From Malgrat, for example, it takes 70 minutes to get to the city by train.
Good luck!

The Costa del Maresme starts just north of Barcelona and runs to Malgrat de Mar where the Costa Brava begins. There is a train line running down the whole coastline.

Costa del Maresme is between the north of Barcelona and the limit with the province of Girona. There is a train line with regular services from most villages through the coast to the center of the city (line 1). Check the map or renfe website
