If you are a US citizen you're aware the US dollar can't compare to the Euro dollar. If you can take a trip in Asia where the money will go further but if you still want to travel to Spain keep lots of cash available yet beware of thieves too.

I was there over spring break and found it to be about the same as the US, or a little more expensive.
Stores I really liked are Mango and Zara. Mango is young womens clothing, a bit like Forever 21 but way better quality and the stores are not as overwhelming. Zara is kind of like Gap.
I found leather goods to be much cheaper in Barcelona than here, but I'm not sure about the rest of the country.
