At the moment it is very warm all over Spain, even in the north. It's been an unusually cold and wet winter.
Here in the south we never get frosts and in summer you can fry an egg on the pavement. |

That "Spain weather is always good" is a myth. It is true though that in the summer (June-Aug and early part of Sept) it is usually sunny, especially in the south. During autumn and winter, Galicia (northwest Spain) can expect rain every other day, while Madrid and the cities to its west and north can get exceptionally cold in the winter. Madrid is the highest capital city in Europe and its altitude gives it quite unpredictable weather conditions for much of the year.
From June to September, Barcelona enjoys quite hot weather but in general, Spain has four-seasons. |

Its a big counry - depends where you are standing?
In the ski resort of Sierra Nevada its freezeing, on the beaches of Tenerife it will be nice an warm this time of year.
But as stated above the 'warm all the time Spain' is a myth. I've lived here for over three years and it is more seasonal than people think.
We are very much looking forward to summer - the pool temps are rising. Here in southern Spain many people think we use the pools all year round - in truth its April to October and the outer months are for the brave! |

This time of the year it depends. I was in Spain last year at this time and Madrid, Barcelona, Granada, and I think even Seville were all eh about upper 50's. Once we got down south by Gibraltar and the coast of Africa, it was much warmer. |

It depends entirely upon when and where you are.
If you are in the mountains in Wintertime...it's cold (including Madrid)
If you are in Sevilla in the Summertime...well, Sevilla is called "the Frying Pan of Europe". 40sC (110 - 120 F)
I was once stuck on a NOT airconditioned train on the plain outside of Sevilla in June...for an hour! I KNOW what hot is! |
