Is it expensive in Barcelona, Spain?

I am going there in February.

How much would a pint cost ect.
How much should I take for four days there, it will be mostly drinking in the evenings. I'm thinking 250 euros but is that enough, how much would you take?

Not really any more expensive than anyplace else in Spain...maybe a touch more for a hotel/lodging.

I believe we paid about 5€ for drinks (soda, alcohol, bottled water, beer, wine) for a glass about the size of a pint (they don't sell pints in most of Spain...they use the metric system, there.) at a Terraza table on the Ramblas. MUCH cheaper if you go to one of the less pricey places...that's sort of a posh place to eat, and the other prices were on a par with the rest of the places we went to...but they apparently make their money on the liquids.

Don't overdo it. You may find yourself quite dehydrated!

I'd take a credit card, and hope not to exceed my limit! And try to keep it there...it really depends how much you plan to drink!

Barcelona is not that cheap to drink, if you are in the main areas it is very expensive, avoid kerbside bars as they are not cheap, out of the center of Barcelona is cheaper to drink and eat. Cant say how much you would require for spending as it depends on how much you intend to drink, how often and how big your rounds are.

Ive been twice, and found that for drinks of any kind the prices are quite similar to those in the uk, and like the uk the posher the place the more you'll pay for your drinks. Food seemed to be much cheaper, especially if you go for tapas or the menu del dia, which is a great deal and usually includes an alcoholic drink. I would try to avoid the ramblas altogether and go down the winding streets of the barri gotic (which is just off the ramblas), the bars are much better and less touristy and a bit cheaper, id highly recommend the tequila bar (if its still there), and a few doors down from this is a bar / club whick looks ultra modern but is loads of fun (and always packed). As to whether you have enough money, if all you are planning on doing is enjoying the nightlife then that will be enough, but if you are going to pay to do stuff during the day e.g the hop on hop off bus tour then you might need a bit more. For free stuff during the day id go to parc guell which is fantastic and free, and if you go to the sagrada familia dont bother paying to go in, theres not much to see, instead walk around the outside and then sit in the parc opposite. Have a great time, i think its the best city in the world. Watch out for pick pockets though, theyre super prevalent.
