Ben

Is it pointless Travelling to Barcelona when Im only 16?

Found out that It would cost £88 for return flight from Stansted to Barcelona and staying at a Hostel for 3 nights, (Fri-Sun) was wondering would I be able to do stuff even though I'm only 16. I mean I'm not going to want to go clubbing or drink alcohol just explore and sightsee,

Waiting 2 years just sounds like forever,

What do you think?

I would say that you won't know util you have tried it. Get the permission from your parents and go with a friend, £88 isn't exactly a lot of money, but you may be able to find cheaper flights on www.ryanair.com which is a budget airline but red the T&C before you book...And yes I would say that you would be able to visit quite a few nice places in Spain and if you did want to drink you have to be 16 to do so, or smoke...Hope this helps!

Waiting two years is NOT forever. I have to save for two years to come to Europe from the US.

But to address your first question, yes, it's worth it. You should be able to do everything short of getting into drinking clubs, and there are probably some places that don't serve alcohol, or you can just have a non-drink and partake of the music. But getting into the sights and such should be a breeze. And well worth it!
And you can always go exploring on foot, anyway! a lot of what there is to do in Barcelona doesn't require fees or checking of age. You can shop (lots of great shopping) and the Barrí Gotic and Eixample and Parc Güell are all just outdoor stuff, anyway (although there are buildings you can pay to enter, you can still get the architectural stuff from outside. They won't bar you from touring the Cathedral, the Gaudí sights, or things like the chocolate factory and the museums, because you are sixteen and without parents. In fact, you should get discounted admission with your student card.

do you have your parents approval on this - you would not if you were mine - if you are going with a proper group maybe its ok but not on your own.

To be honest with you Barcelona doesnt have Much they have shopping and some intersting things on Las Ramblas but the only reason i'd go back there is for the Night Life..and at 16 your obviously your too young. I would recommend you got to a more beautiful and more family touring places...check online.

P.S. Barcelona is very dangerous especially for a young Tourist....dont go alone!

Well, if you just want to go around seeing things I can't see there being a problem...

Tourist attractions such as the Guell park do not have age restrictions.

You might want to check hostel & airplane details as they might have age limits, as at the age of 16 you are techincally speaking still under the care of your parents (or guardians) and might require some form of permission.

There are loads of places you can visit the big football stadium does tours nucamp think it's called you can meet the footballers then there is the fountains at night which are all lit up and the play to music get on a tour and see where you end up and buy a guide book then you'll know all the best places to visit there really is a lot of places to go and see las ramblas where they have street art and more live statues come to life it's an exciting and interesting place to go to
