Is it possible to get a taxi from Gibraltar Airport , across the border into San Roque, Spain ?

We have a disabled person who will find it difficult to walk through to the border. We are travelling to Cadiz but would be able to arrange transfer from San Roque.

No. Neither Spanish or Gibraltar taxi's cross the border.

However, the distance from Gibraltar airport to a Spanish taxi rank (just across the border) is VERY short. Indeed, the total distance from the actual aircraft door in Gibraltar to the taxi door (in Spain) will be shorter than from immigration to baggage reclaim in many airports.

Of course you can and dont worry. They will ask for your Passports at the border control. But as a UK citizen you have the legal right of entry through any border within the EU.It makes little difference walking or not and in your case is advisable to take a Taxi.

Have a great time in Cadiz

carolyn g
Yes it is I have done it myself

magidge
Yes there should not be any problem. Anyway seeing as it's only a very short walk to La Linea, one person could walk over and get a taxi there, and then return to collect the others and baggage.
