What's a decent price to pay for a one bedroom on a one year contract in say L'Eixample? Just a ball park figure. I read somewhere that L'Eixample was a nice neighborhood and not too ...
I'm visiting Barcelona for 4 days? What to visit? What are the big events there for the period of 20-24 July... What is free? What is not? Prices there???...
I will stay there for about a week and I was wondering what clubs should I wisit? Where do usually young people go out at night? Im 21, like hip-hop and techno, like all- night long partying......
Is it possible to go to Madrid without getting pickpocketed? I'd be a blonde girl travelling alone.?
I only the mention the blonde thing btw, because I've heard that there's a bit of blonde-girl hassling that occurs -- and also that it will make me stand out more as a tourist.
Other points to note -- are that I'm 26, relatively st smart [but obviously not confident enough to fight back if someone attacked me with a knife or something like that] and have travelled by myself before.
I've just been reading forums on tripadvisor etc that have been freaking me out. They paint the picture like you can't get on the metro without someone taking all your valuables.
I would buy a moneybelt you can wear under your clothes. It's not something you should worry about in the least. Once your money and passports are concealed, you should feel confident. Pickpockets go after easy marks, people with loose bags and clothes. Don't go anywhere shady at night and you will avoid muggers. Breathe easy. I was paranoid concerning pickpockets for years, but have yet to see any on my travels to Europe, partly, I assume, because I take precausions.
I usually would keep my large bills and passport in my moneybelt and then keep a wallet or clip in my front pocket with one day's allocation of money, a credit card, and a photo id (drivers license works--sometimes you are asked for this in random places)
I've used this site to keep my travel information organized for Spain--good travel sites, how to pack, etc. Worth checking out.

It's impossible. Don't think you won't have to pay only for being blonde. If I were you, I would take pick pocketed money or you'll have problems.
summerr .
There are Pickpocketers [if that is a word..] everywhere. It's not something to be freaked out by, but keep a close-eye on your stuff. Make sure you carry your purse/bag in front of you, because there could be people who want to take your stuff.
Also make sure, you dont look all scared, there's a bigger chance of people picking you to pickpocket instead of the other guy. Just look confident and look straight ahead, and you'll be fine :)
