No none of the canaries is part of the EU that is one of the reasons that alcohol and tobaco is tax reduced although its a part of Spain . Remember that as a holiday maker or tourist your duty free is very small.

claireyC
Would have thought so as it is part of spain

Tenerife is not a country - it's a part of Spain, and as such in the EU. They also use the Euro there.

The downside? No duty free.
