Is there a car ferry from the UK to the Southern Coast of Spain?

Unfortunately, there is not. There are just 2 routes to Spain, by sea, from the UK and they are Portsmouth to Bilbao (P&O ferries) & Plymouth to Santander (Brittany ferries), both of which are next to each other in the north of Spain.
The road network to the southern coast is, however, very good and nothing like as busy as our motorways.

That would be a major cruise. You're talking about, like three days! It would be faster to go to Santander and drive.

with the shape of Spain it would take forever and be very expensive!! Just crossing the Bay of Biscay is quite time consuming!! Imagine having to sail the Atlantic all round by Portugal!

Santander or Bilbao are the only ferry options. Otherwise you could fly to the south and hire a car...

Like previous posters have said, the only ferries are to Santander (from Plymouth with Brittany Ferries) and to Bilbao (from Portsmouth with P&O).

These are both on the north atlantic coast.

I thought there might be a ferry to Lisbon, which while still on the Atlantic coast, is further south. But I checked and there isn´t.

For Southern Spain there are no ferries, all ferries arrive and depart from Bilboa or Santander, if you don't want to drive from the north of Spain to the south, you can put the car on the train from Santander direct to Malaga...............is that any help?

Check out the link below..seems to have lots of info

No, if you want your car shipped there try claridon.co.uk - they ship anything anywhere at reasonable prices.

Spike
try brittany ferries--there's one from plymouth to santander but dont know if it's in the south!
