I went there last christmas for my birthday, only two days I'm afraid and saw very little, just enough to make me want to go back. I got a good look around Barri gotic as I stayed in a very interesting hostal there, seems like a nun would have been happy in my room, basic but clean. It did take me nearly an hour and a half to find the hostal, after I dropped my sister and her boyfriend at their luxury hotel (it's not fair how much cheaper it is for couples!!) but I got to see the beautiful side streets and talk to the locals, though I'm sure I didn't make much of an impression, only that I was a stupid irish woman!!! But it all looked georgous, wouldn;t spend too much time around the La ramblas, bit too crazy for me but I really want to go back and see Sagrada Familia and La Pedrea and I think I saw a stable of horses on Montjuic so I would go back there.............ok I want to see it all!!! And I found the Bus Turistic very good, sometimes they can be useless enough but these were muy bien, ok must dash time for dinner, chao! |
