Is there discrimination in spain ??
iam a person of middle eastern origin willing to work in spain and i wanted to know . how would i be treated for being a middle eastern??? will i face discrimination ?? is there job discrimination in spain ??
I'm Spanish. There's discrimination in Spain, exactly the same discrimination that you can find in any other European country. That means, some people may discriminate you but it's not the most common thing. Most people will treat you with respect. Between 8-10% of the Spanish population are immigrants and they stay here so it shouldn't be that bad, don't you think??. And if you are looking for a job, you'll find one, maybe not the one of your dreams but in agriculture, construction, as a waiter, there are a lot of jobs here. Another more qualified job, it's possible but you'll need to be qualified and speak perfect Spanish.

Of course there is - it is a natural thing that people do. If ask "is it rational?" - now that is another question.

Yes, there's discrimination in Spain against Middle Easters, and especially against immigrants who want to work there. They think people like you are there to "steal" jobs from them rather than contribute to the economy. Whenever you'll face discrimination or not depends where you go and who do you meet. The southern provinces retain the Arabian influences left by the Muslim invasions of centuries ago. Perhaps, your luck will be better there.
