Is there much bar work in the costa del sol at the moment? |
I used to live in Fuengirola, Malaga. It is my dream to return there but I have no money and so dont even have money to rent a flat. The most I'd arrive there with would be around 100 pounds. Any suggestions as to how I could survive until I get a job? |

went to benidorm to see about buying a bar, so many people are getting out of the game, changed my mind, you could but bar/restaurant for less tan 15 grand,, spain's had it's day. |

You´re coming at the wrong time of the year. Bar work starts up in April and lasts through to the begining of September when the seaon ends. Those bars that employ through the summer will keep on a couple of the "good workers" through the winter but won´t risk taking on a new employee.
I would say work the winter in the UK, build up your funds and come over in April next year. A 100 pounds is nowhere near enough in case anything happens before you find work. You need to have at least enough for a ticket home if things don´t work out.

No money and no savings, then I'm sorry, you'll just have to find a good job where you are and save for the future. Seems silly looking for bar work now the summer is over! |

My dad lives in Arroyo de la Miel, and at the moment there there is not much bar work around, and any that there is is not very well paid |

i live on the fuengirola side of marbella, ther isn't much work here at the moment, infact throughout the summer it has been quiet even some of the lukky lukky men have left this part of the coast, and the housing market has crashed so all the estate agents are taking the available jobs |

I'm afraid you'll be better off carrying on dreaming. Life is tough in Spain now, I've been here 17 years, and all over we are feeling it. Stay where you are and just have your memories of times gone by. Sorry |
