Is this address near the city centre in Madrid?
C/ Josefa Valcárcel 36
28027 Madrid, Spain
How long would it take for me to walk from there to the centre?
well...its a little northeast of the center....would be a nice walk...but maybe 30 to 45 min or so....I recommend taking Metro from there.

No. It's not near the center.
Most online lodgings show you maps, to locate where the hotels are. Or you should look for something near the Plaza Mayor, or on Gran VĂa, or near Sol metro stop, if you want to be near the center.
Here's a good city map with plug-in address capability. It even has a satellite feature, so you can see what the city really looks iike from the air.
