June & August Weather In Spain Comparison? |
Hi, im woundering about the weather in Spain, Torremolinos, Costa Del Sol.
June Minimum Average Temperature: 18oC
August Maximum Average Temperature: 22oC
June Maximum Average Temperature: 26oC
August Maximum Average Temperature: 29oC
Ruffly 3oC differnce in heat temperature, im no good with temperatures, can anyone tell me if im really going to notice the differnce much in heat and getting a tan?

I have a place about 50 Min's drive further down the coast to you and use Malaga airport near Estapona. If you are with young children or are an older retired couple do June, it is fresher air and slightly cooler on the evenings, plus it is cheaper on flights and accommodation. If you are young party animals and love the sun, and don't mind hiding in the shade at certain times of the day and the very dry air, (light a hairdryer in your face) go for August but remember you will burn and it is still very hot at night and you will need air con where-ever you are staying. You will get a tan which ever you chose but remember the August tan will probably not last as long because of the sun damage and peeling if you don't use a high factor cream.

you know what the saying is:
Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun...........
it's true 18oC - 26oC is a good temperature to get a tan and have an enjoyable stay here, but when we reach 29oC and above then it really is far too hot to do anything but avoid it.
Take it from me 29oC and above is horrible, I've seen many many Brits with serious sunburn blisters etc from thinking they need just a little more sun, and August is not the time to lay out and fry.
Last summer we in the Costa Blanca had 36oC some days!!!
Bring plenty of suncream, drink plenty and from time to time sit in the shade............in 2 weeks you will have a long lasting lovely colour, but if you rush it you will peel and would have wasted your time.

18ºC... you can get a Sun tan (in the Sun) but if you're on the beach there will be a cool breaze, it will be HORRIBLE
29ºC is too hot for me to lay in the Sun, I feel too hot. but it is great weather for sitting by the pool |

Torremolinos, and the area, I live near, is very hot during summer.
So, drink liquids, take sun with precaution, and enjoy. |
