You need to speak to a solicitor in the UK first of all and find out what parental rights, if any, you have. You may well find that the mother has acted illegally. If she has report the matter to the UK Police and if they agree the mother has commit ed a crime they can ask for Interpol to assist.

If the mother has not committed a crime you are really struggling. I suppose you could go down the basic line of placing advert in local papers around where you last know he was. Or if you can speak Spanish then physically visit that area (or take a Spanish speaking friend.) But in all honesty these sorts of task are long shots.

Do you have contact details of the mothers family? Would they pass on a letter for you (they don't have to give you the address if they choose not to but could still pass on a message to your son.)

This is no way to find a child who has been kidnapped! You need to contact the authorities, and find a good Private detective. Even if he is able to find anything out...HE is too young to be on this website, anyways! And his mother and her new husband certainly aren't likely to just let him browse around and then mess around on sites he is too young for, because ... gosh, you might find him that way!

Seriously! If your ex-wife is hiding your son from you, you need to REALLY look for him. Not just post a couple of announcements on a questions website. This isn't a good place for that.

You know, there's something fishy here. If you are English, why is the English name second? And what is Julen???? I've never heard of that name. And I'm pretty well-versed in Spanish. And why did you just let her take him and you haven't been in touch for this long? And why have you NOT already contacted the authorities? And why ARE you asking in a travel site such as this one? Not terribly likely to locate people IN SPAIN using a question and answer site, like this.

If this were an adult, I would say just look him up in 411.com. In fact, you should know that the mother probably still uses her maiden name, and would be listed under that, as women don't give up their maiden names in Spain.

I'm really uncertain about your multiple posts. I wonder what you are REALLY looking for?

Sorry...Julen as Basque (especially if the mother is from Bilbao) or Catalán, I can take, but it is NOT an English name, and the MOTHER'S name comes second...so if the Father is Smith, and the Mother is González, the boy's name should be Smith-González, not González-Smith.

If your son's name is Julen Gonzalez-Smith then you must be Spanish yourself as the fathers name comes first in Spain and the mothers second who would be English, so it doesn`t really add up to me. Are you SURE it's not Smith - Gonzalez as that would make sense ?
In Spain = name + fathers surname + mothers surname.

Here are the detail of the town hall of Motril, Granada ,so you could phone them up and see if they are registered there. If they live there they are supposed to register ,and need to for the child to attend school.

why don;t you get a list of the Spanish school if you know the area he is living and contact them.

also you can ask the town hall (Ayntamiento) he has to be registered with his family also if you know the area he lives in,

Otherswise call the British Consulate or Embassy in Spain and ask them for help.

zzcap2000
can't help but good luck

If he's 10 and missing you're suppose to call the police... -_-

julen gonzalez-smith is a very good name for an Ango-Spanic person...

Julen is CatalĂ , Basque & an English name -_-
Gonzalez would be the mothers maiden name
and Smith would be this mans...

its going to cost some money, hire a detective or spy bounty hunter to track him down, they know how to find people.
