My girlfriend and I want to book a holiday to Majorca for the end of October but we don't know where to stay. We want to be by the beach but we want to be away from the English crowd. But not too boring as we are both in our 20s.
Is there anywhere nice you can recommend? I suppose we will have to compromise so any suggestion welcome.

hello,i'm afraid that you are in a catch 22 situation.at the end of oct most resorts on mallorca will be just about shut for the season.but magaluf will still be quite busy,so why not do what we do and stay next door in palma nova.you can have a quite or loud holiday there to suit you own mood.we were there in march,april and on the 16th oct,we love the place and we are in our late 40's.if i can help any more just email me ok.good luck and enjoy it ok,bye

Most places will be closed for the season and it is cold in October but if you must go I preferred Santa Ponsa or Alcudia. To get reasonable weather in october you would need to go to Costa Del Sol or Canaries but you will get english crowd at that time and October 13th-17th is our school October week in Scotland.

Okay well if you want to be away from the English crowd all I can say is don't go to Magaluf as that's very english with lots of bars and clubs. - I've not been but read it when researching for a future holiday, kinda like you. Good Luck
