Majorca magaluf/palma nova?

young group of girls all 18 to 21 looking for a lively nightlife nice beach good shopping and somewhere not really expensive, magaluf or palma nova, which one will suit us more and how far away are they from each other, we was going to stay near magaluf so that we can go for the nightlife but come out and go back to a chilled out place ten or twenty mins away any advice.

Magaluf and Palma Nova have grown over the years to the to the point where they now effectively merge into one. Of the two resorts Palma Nova is marginally the quieter, and is better if you want a bit more of a leisurely holiday. There are more hotels to choose from in Magaluf, so you would probably be able to get slightly cheaper accommodation there.

Personally, I found Palma Nova to be a better place to stay. If you wanted to party a little harder, Magaluf is close enough to hop over. Palma Nova is a bit better for strolling and shopping as it is less congested.

There is definitely one thing in Palma Nova not to be missed and that's the Crazy Golf. It has some fifty odd holes to be played, all set in attractive tropical gardens with some nice water features and caves.

If you are up to exploring the island a bit more, Mallorca has a lot of hidden gems that a lot of visitors don't take advantage of. Before I went, I dug up most of my info from this site www.allthingsmallorca.com and it made a world of difference to my trip.

Whichever place you decide on, I hope you have a blast of a time.

i live in palmanova it is about 10 mins away from magalluf,
nightlife in magalluf is pretty mental in the summer but really quiet at this time of year,
the beaches are massive its reasonably cheap.its up to you where you stay but i would recommend palmanova over magalluf in summer cos its much more laid back & quiet,
hope this was helpful.

Palma Nova without a doubt.

It's still lively and you can stroll in, 10 mins slow stroll at the most, and take in the madhouse that is magaluf.

Palma Nova is a far classier resort as well

Mr Tiger Tony
we stayed at matha's apartments palma nova very cheap and ideal as its quieter in the evenings . its only a stones through from magaluf you can walk it or go in a taxi we walked
